I will be presenting my program “A Gathering of Bears” to the Charter Oak Camera Club at their meeting to be held on September 28th at 7:30 p.m. The program will be held at the Elmwool Community Church Carter located at26 Newington Rd. (Rt.173) in West Hartford.

I will be presenting my program “A Gathering of Bears” to the Clinton Land Trust at their annual meeting to be held on October 19th at 7:30 p.m. The program is open to the public and will be held at Carter Hull Library on Route 81 in Clinton.
A selection of my images will be available for sale in the form of small prints and note cards.

This course will bring together what you need to create stunning digital prints on a desktop ink jet printer. Included will be information on printing media, output profiles and practical color management as part of the printing work flow. The relationships between image resolution, printable image size and printer resolution will be thoroughly examined.

. This course will demonstrate techniques used for image optimization using layers and layer masks. The use of color channels as an aid to simplify tasks will be included. Basic retouching techniques and tools will be examined.

This course will demonstrate basic image adjustments using Photoshop. Included will be tonal range/exposure adjustments. Color cast removal, cropping, resizing of images for particular outputs and sharpening strategies.

Students that participate in the Exposure and Creative Controls 101 course will have the opportunity to put theory into practice. Assignments reinforcing the lessons of that course will be provided and students will have two weeks to complete them. The results will be reviewed during this group discussion course. A camera with variable shutter speed and aperture is required to get the most out of this class
